silvertongue-loki:
After bouncing away from Wade, he figured his fun as a ferret was over, morphing back into his normal body and reminding his body to walk own the hallway to Tony’s bedroom, cracking open the door to peek inside.
On the bed, he could see a lump of sheets, having no idea if Tony was hidden underneath or if it was just a messy pile of the blanket, but neither option stopped him from crossing the room to the outside balcony. Sure, the living room had a nice balcony, but it was public to everyone in the tower. Anyone in the living room could see him with his back exposed to him, and considering the people that could be in the living room, he didn’t want to give anyone an open or vulnerable spot to shoot.
Here was private, here was close to Tony…or his sheets, Loki still didn’t know which and he wasn’t about to go poking them to find out. To do that would be to admit that he came back. To lower his pride and say ok, he missed Tony and needed to be close to him again. Even if he refused to actually be near him and was just going to stand out here on this balcony sulking as he stared up into the stars, damning Heimdall who he knew could see him right now, and wondering what the others on Asgard were doing right now.
Most likly still glad to be rid of Loki the liar. He couldn’t help but think that maybe that was why he was so drawn to Tony, and so willing to be docile and domestic. Because at least he wanted him around.
After arguing with Clint about the bird and lion and whole zoo situation he didn’t even bother to look for Wade to see if he found Loki. Instead he went back to his room for lack of anything better to do at the moment. With Jarvis’ body finished and functioning he was out of projects at the moment which meant back to bed to daydream until he thought of another one.
But it was a good thing he went to his bedroom because he saw something far better on his balcony. It was pleasantly surprising to see Loki’s familiar tall and dark frame outlined by the night sky through the glass doors instead of having to hunt him down or continue to worry about where he was and oh god, Tony was getting clingy. He took a deep breath and thought that maybe Loki wasn’t here to be with him and wanted some privacy but that was the opposite of what Tony wanted so he joined him out on the porch and let the silence drift between them as he stood next to him and leaned on the railing.
